In my mind's eye, I saw the Bloodguard as looking much like the folk from Tibet. A cyber-friend of mine is there now (climbing mountains, of all things,) and sent pictures back. As soon as I saw their faces, I thought "Those People are the Bloodguard!"
Your image looks almost like those photos.....

Absolutely fabulous! This is very similar to how I always pictured Bannor!

Thank you for this art) I especially like how you depicted the look in his eyes - he feels watchful and ready to strike.

Very cool, we'll have to hire some Sherpas to play Haruchai & Bloodguards in our miniseries *dreams*

Comes across as poised and dangerous.

I would have said judgemental and condescending. Very nice Hue.

Hue of Bone, that's exactly how I've come to imagine the Haruchai. However, do the Chronicles say or imply at any point that they have blue eyes? If not, I would have thought brown eyes might be closer to the mark.

Exceptional work, Hue! The face expression absolutely nails what I think a Haruchai could have on his face

Great! An evil Captain Kirk haruchai - in the best way imaginable.

BTW, in the comments-towards-the-next-rendition section: the long eye-lashes tend to add an aspect of femininity that is undesired (not an issue with earlier drafts); the skin color doesn't seem to fit "brown-skinned"; the hair color looks like an unnatural red, whereas brown-skinned folk are pretty much limited to black or at least dark brown. All "cosmetic" changes, really! The facial structure and overall demeanor are wonderful.

Personally I preferred
this version, it's about 300% hotter.

But that's me on an estrogen rampage. However, if you're tweaking this, try make the eyes more lively with reflections, etc. and I'd adjust the eyelashes to appear more natural-looking, they seem a bit comical now. A man can have long eyelashes, it's actually quite attractive in certain types, like Khal Drogo (and Jack Sparrow with his kohl).
Hey WF, could you tell me if you are going to do that story critique or not? I've waited for very long now and not really gotten a definite response.
