On May 5th lurch began our chapter on dissection of Against All Things Ending-check out our chapter by chapter analysis in Dissecting the Land. We NEED more participants, the entire book takes close to a year to break down so don't sweat it right away, but sign up--we'll answer any questions and address any fears.
You don't need and special talent, just be yourself and interpret the chapter in your own special way (just don't spoil ahead). Even if you don't want5 to lead-read the dissections and contribute! Thanks, see you there!!!

That was the scheduled date, but lurch was surreally eager to get things started and kicked off the dissection on April 30.
The better to have a lively discussion early and often!
BTW, the chapter 2 dissection is out of first draft and being allowed to age before revision. It is due May 19. Does the community want it me to follow lurch's example and post it a bit earlier than that? I don't want to step on the prior chapter discussion...

So I have the honor of the first chapter ever to get zero replies. I'd like to thank my agent. Thanks, danlo.

Honestly, my book is a thousand miles and about a year away from me, I haven't re-read enough to have sturdy memory. I thought it was a very good dissection from my recollection of the chapter, but just posting "good job" feels like a cop-out reply.
OTOH, I'm about to rejoin my copy and probably re-read, so you may not stay reply-less.

I had no idea a re-read was taking place.
The again, I've had kind of limited time for group reads in recent years.
