Both on request and because I thought this can be fun.

Oh yeah, peter? Well, da-....er,... bless your witty observation (we need an emoticon that blesses with holy water)

Also, we need an official whipping thread... that whipping emoticon is sadly underused

Effaeldm wrote:Maybe that's the nature of this place?

Perhaps if someone goes and actually creates a whipping thread, obscure logic, high philosophy and strange humour will be there as well in no time
Everyone willing and not really - welcome!

Oh come on, people... it's fun. Well, maybe not for everyone. But how you'll know without trying, check out

And this funny emoticon is really underused, by the way, was it made for the Kevin's Watch forum specifically? I haven't seen it anywhere else, and some others seriously look made for this place - like "Vain" and "Raver" ones. Though the "Raver" looks more like Lord Foul on colour basis :E

Yeah, a bunch of them were adapted specially for the Watch.

Well, being lazy is quite common, don't be too harsh on them. Though imaginary whipping doesn't feel like the worst possible thing

Oh, and the whipping one, since I'm here - to stay more or less on topic :whip:

What's your problem? null's a nice guy. Odd, but nice. Get over yourself, newbie.

:whip: for jumping to incorrect conclusions. Knowing the history of interaction between dAN and Sarge, that post qualified as a whipping.

Er... where? I mean, the problem - I didn't seem to have any here, and definitely have none with Sarge. Or what do you mean? And what is your sentence "Get over yourself, newbie" about, then?
Savor Dam wrote::whip: for jumping to incorrect conclusions. Knowing the history of interaction between dAN and Sarge, that post qualified as a whipping.
Qualified or not, by the :offtopic: I meant that already a few people didn't use the emoticon, and one of the purposes - right in the start of the topic - was to use it more. It's not like I'm angry or something, just reminded what this one was supposed to be for.

By the way, thank you for staying on topic, I failed to do so myself in my post above 8O [whips self] :whip:, and again :whip:, for somehow managing to stir up trouble even on the Kevin's Watch and from nearly an empty spot, perhaps one more needed :whip:

What kind of name is Effaeldm, anyway? Is it a 'girl' name or a 'boy' name? Is it your mom's maiden mame? Is it a shortening, where each letter has many meanings? I guess it doesn't matter; I just wanna know how it's pronounced.

My mom used to use shortening a lot in baking, but I think butter's better.

Uh oh -- I'm :offtopic:

Guess I'd better stand in line for the whipping post! :whip:

(Don't worry about dAN, Eff -- his roar is worse than his bite. Usually. ;) )

I know what you're thinking, punk. You're asking yourself 'is that a ban stick in his paw, or is he just glad to see me?'. Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as a ban stick is the most powerful weapon in the world, and would blow your avatar clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?

The above post would be a lot more effective were your avatar still Eastwood and not a lion in a bowler hat....

what about Eastwood atop a lion, both of them in bowler hats and shoes?

I don't think you're the guy to issue effective avatar advice, Mr. Nerdatar.

I think using a bespectacled comedian as my avatar is entirely effective. I'm a huge nerd, and like most nerds I have low self esteem, which instils in me the desire to make people laugh in order to get some sense of validation. What you see is what you get.

Unlike an anthropomorphic cross between Mufasa and Charlie Chaplin, talking like Dirty Harry. That's just confusing. :P
