We are America, we take your television programs and we make complete rubbish versions of them. Seriously, has America ever improved on a British television series? Still we keep trying.

Was there a British version of Sanford and Son before the American version? I'm talking about shows like The Office, Being Human and our miserable version of Top Gear.

There's an Australian version of Top Gear as well. I think it's rubbish, but then I'm not a huge fan on the original series. (Though just to boast, I supervised Richard Hammond's daughters and got to meet him briefly.)

I stayed the hell away from the American Office, as the Gervais version is very dear to me.

Dad's addicted to the UK "Being Human," I hadn't even heard they had a US version.

Oh well. At least America never had the bad sense to touch Monty Python. That might ruin my life.

Anyone else catch 'An Idiot Abroad' when it was broadcast on The Science Channel? That was the absolute funniest thing that I have seen on television in a long time. Thankfully it was imported as is and not remade into a shitty Americanized version.
