Happy 4th!
I'll be grilling bbq chicken, corn, and red potatoes and serving it with a cucumber, red onion and tomato salad and bread and butter pickles. Then for dessert grilled apricots, peaches, plums, and bananas spooned over Blue Bell French vanilla ice cream.
We'll watch the hour long cbs special of the Boston Pops 4th.

Happy 4th!

I'll be grilling a beer can chicken today. Serve it with potato salad, cornbread, and whatever seasonal veggie looks good at the farm stand today. Finish with vanilla ice cream and whatever fruit I can round up. Hopefully, blueberries.

Happy 4th, you guys!

I wasn't expecting Magickmaker to be home, so I was figuring on leftovers for dinner. Since she's bagged her evening event, I'll probably make turkey burgers. And there's ice cream with Magic Shell for dessert. 8)

Happy Fouth of July.

Having a quiet Fourth here - well, except for the sound of illegal fireworks being set off in my neighborhood. ;)

have not heard any illegal fireworks tonight. we have a burn ban in effect. maybe people are honoring it? julie informs that 92% of texas has banned fireworks.

houston had them.

I enjoyed the fireworks, even though I didn't actually SEE them.

The parade was a little kooky but I had fun watching it.

Hope everyone had a great 4th!

We did the big bbq for all of our HIV/AIDS patients and their families. It's something Mom always loved doing. Lots of fun, the kids all loved the fireworks (they aren't illegal here in Oregon), and everyone had a great time remembering Mom.

May 31st, 1961. We don't celebrate that any more though. Instead we celebrate Freedom Day, 27th April 1994, date of the 1st truly democratic elections in SA.
