I've been talking about this for quite some time-- after it dawned on me that the fifty pounds I put on over the last nine years coincided with my moving out of flat country where it was impossible to ride the cruiser I built.
Tested it out yesterday-- yes, I can go uphill, even at steep grades at a steady pace-- but boy does it ever wear me out!
Hopefully I will get used to the strain.

I do hope a fitter me is in the future and that Phyllis gets hers soon!

Sometimes you have to be going at it a while before you hit your second wind.

Congratulations, though! I expect to see you at the Tour de France in a year's time!

Thanks, I was an avid cyclist when I lived in Austin.
