More books set in THE LAND?

I was reading through the GI on SRD's web page and I came across the following Q and A from 2007:

Captain Maybe: Thinking about it, this seems like an incredibly finicky question, but ... why choose 'last' instead of 'final' for the title of The Last Chronicles? If I had to choose between the two I'd go for 'final' - rhythmically and phonetically it seems to me to fit better with the word 'chronicles'. What qualities does 'last' have for you over 'final'?

SRD: You say "finicky": I say "subjective," ("Let's call the whole thing off"--if you'll forgive an obscure--not to mentioned strained--joke). But here's how it looks to me. I understand your point about the rhythm of "final". To my mind, however, "last" asserts that there will not be any more "chronicles," whereas "final" suggests that there may not be any more of ANYthing. In other words, "final" sounds more, well, *final* than "last" does.

Hmmm...very interesting!!! It almost sounds as if he's not ruling out the possibility of future books set in the Land?! Or am I just crazy? (or both?)

You're crazy. But everyone knows that.
However, in regards to chronicles...he's saying "no more books" whereas "final" would mean "not only no more books, but everything the land is/was/means is dead." Or, simpler..."Last" is the end of the world, and Christ/Kingdom of God happens. "Final" is end of the world...but God doesn't bother to show up. [that's analogical...don't believe the christian comparison analysis of chron's]

I'm sure it's been discussed lots of times on the Watch about the possibility of other books. Aren't we still waiting for the Legend of Baghoon and Thelma Twofist?
I would certainly look forward to seeing the cover artwork to, The Legend of Berek Halfhand.
And who knows, mabye there could even be, The Further Adventures of Kevin Landwaster? (question mark included)

There is the problem that I'm pretty sure...not positive, but pretty sure, SRD has said "I won't write any more books in the land." One reason IIRC had to do with he doesn't do/like prequels, cuz you already know the end.

At the same time, though, he doesn't choose ideas, ideas choose him. There's a very remote possibility that a non-Covenant 'Land' book could pop into his mind and demand to be written.

I mean, it has happened before :P

Hello mr orlion!
I agree, I would love to read more about the lords but would only be interested if SRD wrote it, it's his writing I love and Im convinced noone else would be able to do it justice
