Yes, well I
really wanted to use BOC in the opening track, but the vocal remover made in almost inaudible. So I processed it to make it sound like a live concert, added crowd noise to mask some of the awful harmonic distortion, and mixed an unprocessed track quietly so you could hear the music better... but yeah, if I just don't have the wherewithal to license songs for my movie, so I'm doing the soundtrack as karaoke.
Hey! I did some more shooting and added footage to the
second trailer!
I edited it for short attention spans, so while there is more footage, I've picked up the pace and this one's shorter!

Odauntutaunt
i love that name. the origin?

was originally the name of a vampyre in a story called "Perisher Dog" which I never wrote. I wanted a name with the same "u" sound as Dracula, and when I think of one sound the rest just rolls off my tongue into my brain.
so like "dracUla"
we get "odauntUtaunt"

perisher dog is also cool - you need to use that in something.

yeah, I was thinking of using that title for a fantasy story-- typical barbarian vs. sorcerer, but from the viewpoint of the barbarian's dog!

Meet my dad, Donald S. Hawley...

Don is the weird alien on the left. The weird alien on the right is Mark Lenard, better known as Sarek, Spock's father.
Donald S. Hawley and Mark Lenard acted together in college at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu in the late forties or some other paleolithic time in earth's distant past.
Don was also a boxer in college, but stopped fighting out of fear he's kill someone.
I wish Mark Lenard had lived to see my dad finally acting again-- other than being an extra in a local film made less than a year ago, this is probably the first acting job he's had since working with Mr. Lenard.
I think it would have been great to hear him getting back in touch his old friend again and learning how much this might have meant to him.
Although my dad auditioned in Hollywood for various roles, I'm pretty sure he never landed anything and gave up on acting.
He also gave up playing the trumpet and writing books on philosophy.
Really, what pleases me most is that both my father
and mother are in the picture.
This kind of gives them something more to live for, which is important when both of you were born in 1928 and on anti-depressants.
No pictures of my mom. Bizarrely enough she only agreed to be in our film (which is going to be on youtube) if we agreed
not to post her picture.
It is awfully fulfilling to have your strait laced parents participating in an underground art film with a soundtrack largely made up of punk and metal.
