From TED:
Buddhist roshi Joan Halifax works with people at the last stage of life (in hospice and on death row). She shares what she's learned about compassion in the face of death and dying, and a deep insight into the nature of empathy.
Loved it.

Thanks for posting this, Cambo. I really liked it.
Compassion: the ability to transform suffering into strength, it is what we are being trained for!

Very welcome, Uss. I liked her components of compassion: the perception of suffering for what it is, the desire to transform that suffering, and the lack of attachment to outcome.
That last is very much the hardest to cultivate, for me.
