Dear Watchers,
I am dying here! SRD has ruined me! I can't enjoy other authors as I do him. When will we see a sample chapter?

February 2013 is my current guess. This January-ish we'll hear that he's completed the first draft at which point I'll sigh with relief and continue distracting myself with Malazan.
And the new book is being pushed at a later date in the UK! I can't handle that! Once I know Last Dark exists, I don't know how I'll deal if I don't have some convoluted Malazan book to distract me!
