I have everything that Rush, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Def Leppard have released, as well as a nice cache of unreleased bits and bootlegs.

I have 72 of their songs, and there's no way they'd make my list.

I didn't realize how music-poor I am! It's kind of embarrassing.

Comes from being poor in disposable income, which comes of being a teacher. (I made better money as a paperhanger.)

I've been a musician for a long time, and have had to learn a ton of songs, but really I think I was always a fan of music in general, which explains why I have so much of it.

I have no special artists, rather, I have composers.
Mozart (all but three of his operas, numerous symphonies, concertos etc.)
Wagner
Schubert (lots of Lieder)
Vaughan Williams
Rorem (My treatise was on his operas)
Manhattan Transfer (I have seen them live on two occasions)
Strauß
Verdi
Puccini
Rossini
Dimitri Hvorastovsky, Bryn Terfel and Joan Sutherland, Pavarotti and Sam Ramey are on many of them. But there is that stash of Queen in the back...

Me too-- that is, I've been a musician since bell bottoms were in style the first time. Of course, I also lost my entire music collection more than once, which doesn't help.
