The first one. It had the greates impact on me, and it stands alone. The other two have incredible fight scenes between Neo & Smith, though. I really enjoyed the whole series.

The first one. It had a complex but still comprehensible storyline. The other two were love affairs with special effects. Great on that specific level, but plot-wise, a disappointment.

I donno. I have to rewatch Reloaded to get my final opinion. I enjoyed them all, for the most part. The first was hard to beat. But for some reason the Highway scene in Reloaded was like the coolest thing ever.-jay

If I had to choose a film, it would be the third and last film. I loved it!

I definately like the first movie best. I wish they would have filmed it last though. with the higher budget I think it would be getting more respect for filmography.
Next comes Rev. , should have been MUCH more of Machine City, like half the movie and a lot less of the dock.
Reloaded seemed to just be filler until Rev came out, and not much for that tho.

I think overall I enjoyed the first one most...but did like specific parts of the second and third. The highway scene in the second one was very very exciting to watch...and the machine city in the third was really interesting to me... :)

1. The Matrix

-saw more times than I can remember. The good: everything! The bad: I concede one thing...I never felt chemistry between Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.

2. Reloaded

-saw it twice. The good: Merovingian, Persephone, Seraph, Gloria Foster one more time as the Oracle. The bad: lame demise of twins right up there with Boba Fett's stupid end in Return of the Jedi. Rave scene in Zion dated movie, like disco music dated Battlestar Galactica. Neo & Trinity have no chemistry. And that ending! Grammatically speaking, they ended the movie in mid-sentence.

3. Revolutions

-saw it once. The good: when the movie finally ended. The bad: how long of a list do you want?
am curious as to why you really didnt like the 3rd .. I enjoyed the 3rd more than re-loaded .. so am surprised that you're unable to find anything you liked :(

and i loved the dialogue in the ending .. between the Oracle and the Architect .. just clinched it nicely for me ..

its a revolution ;) .. cyclical .. brilliant!!

Yeah, I agree, Skyweir; the Architect's line really tied up an interesting theme in the movies.

yeah definately .. and gave the movie premise the tight little package feel ;) Revolutions ;) the whole concept of their being more than One - One ;) lol

each 1000 or 1000,000 cells invokes' a One' .. a gifted one .. as Neo was ;)

and as before him went others .. a flaw in the Matrix .. not that there is only the one flaw ;)

I had a thought about that . . . could all the previous Ones be religious characters in history? For instance was Christ a one, or Mohammed? Further when the Machines talk about the paradise that never worked (entire crops were lost) was that Eden or Atlantis?
