Thought there was already a topic on this one, but nope.
This is seriously one of the best shows on TV right now. I wasn't sure about it way back in series 1 (in fact I missed half of that series) but in the 2nd and 3rd series it just keeps getting stronger.
Smart, funny, adult superhero series, brilliantly written and unlike most superhero stuff manages to avoid most of the cliches.
Be prepared for a lot of foul language and adult content, however.

Doesn't look like it's been broadcast in the US, but I've seen something saying it's on Hulu.

Season finale coming up this Sunday. This week's episode was pretty good, taking on the zombie genre.
Is there no one else watching this?

(Sorry if 'thread-revival/necromancy' is frowned upon, but I enjoy this show, so deal with it!

)
Ah, yeah, I got into this show late last year-early this year, and it's definitely an interesting take on the 'superhero' (well, more like superhuman I suppose, as they're not really trying to be heroes; not where I'm at, anyway) genre. Definitely a series for a more mature audience though, as there's certainly a good deal of obscenities, etc. but yeah, definitely a good watch.
So, is season three (and four, if they've done it?) as good as the previous two? Since I've only been able to see 1+2, since we get other countries' TV shows on DVD significantly later than what everyone else seems to, which is a bit sad. At this point I'm not sure if I should buy it on Amazon/online, or just wait until it comes out in SA.

I got right into Misfits late last year/early this year also, and you have described it's appeal well.
As to your question; hmmm, depends on your tastes - also, I am holding back a **major casting spoiler** which really effects the whole tone of the show - if you'd like to know more we can discuss it further, heh.
Personally, I liked the show's entire run so far (and yes, Series 4 is currently being made, with, I believe, even more major casting changes), with the not-insignificant exception of the overwrought 'Super-hoodie' arc, which threatened to derail the show I reckon.

I watched all of series 4 yesterday and today. At this point there's only one cast member left from the original series, and he doesn't last the whole thing.
The new cast are pretty good, and the show's still decent, but it doesn't feel quite as good as series 3. Part of it I guess is that the cast is smaller and the current main characters' superpowers rarely have any use in the story.
I hear series 5 will be the last.

hey Murrin,
yes I believe ratings for series 4 were poor, so not surprised to hear that series 5 will be the last.
still, I personally thought series 4 was really good, some of the episodes were among Misfits all-time best.
There's been an air of instability throughout Misfits whole run though; some would argue it never recovered after the loss of Robert Sheehan (Nathan) - not me, my main problem with the show is when it has started to mythologize its world too much, e.g. the Super-Hoodie arc - I much prefer it when they take the 'It was the storm, innit' approach, it allows the show to go into all kinds of directions, as was seen in later episodes.
I'd just seen the character of Jess (Karla Crome) in another show I really enjoyed called Hit & Miss which starred Chloe Sevigny as an Irish pre-op tranny hitwoman/man, I kid you not .. so I was totally up for seeing her (Karla Crome) injected into the Misfits universe.
I'll be tuning in to the final series when it airs for sure, hopefully it goes out in style because at it's best Misfits has been awesome.
