Congratulations on the cool present. Once you have used it enough to be able to give a complete assessment, I hope you post one to the Loresraat.
Not a complete assessment by any means, but so far I love it!!! The touch-keyboard on iPod Touch is too small, so I needed at least this big. And it's still small enough to easily fit in my jacket pocket.

Online with Wifi works great. I've posted here, FB, and done email with it.

Skype is free in its Applications Market, and is easy to set up. I was just video chatting with Paolo (he plays Pantheon) in Rome, walking around the house showing him things.

I did have a problem for a couple days, though. I'd never seen Angry Birds before, and I was as addicted for two days as I've ever been to anything. Doing much better now, only playing for an hour or so today. But my neck and upper back still hurt from looking down at the damned thing for so many hours.

Interestingly enough, while it's illegal to talk on a handheld phone, and certainly txting while driving is illegal, there's no law on the books about playing Angry Birds while driving. It's a great combo that I call Angry Birds/Angry Drivers.

Thanks, Fist.

Although I have not seen Angry Birds, I certainly understand about becoming addicted to something discovered out here on the intertubes -- be it KW, or something/someone else. Been dealing with that for over two years for myself and others...

Yeah. But some things, like the Watch, enhance our lives. Angry Birds, otoh, is an absolute waste of every second. Hideous evil.

Angry Birds is the new PacMan -- it's everywhere. I think it came pre-loaded on my Nook Tablet...

I need to spend some more time playing around with the Nook Tablet. It's 7 inches, so it's bigger than Fist's, but it's pretty easy to read (despite the backlit screen, sigh) and you can get online with it. I'm a little bummed that it won't take a Bluetooth keyboard, but whatevs. Need to download a simulated Office program and play around with it -- I'm hoping to replace the netbook with the Nook, and that means it needs to have *some* word processing capability.

I've resisted the urge to get it on my iPad.

Course, I do have other time-wasting games. ;)
My favorite being Luxor.
