I know at least a couple of other folks here occasionally read YA sci-fi/horror. I've been following the ADR3NALIN3 blog (subtitled Books Worth Losing Sleep Over), which is mainly a bunch of authors talking about writing in general. It's part of what got me thinking about writing more seriously again, and I've enjoyed reading it. You might too.

Yay! Love getting a positive reaction when I share something cool. 8)

Ilsa Bick is one of my favorite authors, and I'm a regular follower of her main blog, which is where I heard about it. I haven't read any Jennifer Archer, but I liked that article too (even though it's not how I write) and may have to give her a try.

I started reading her back when she was writing Star Trek novels - her darker vision of the universe appealed to me. She also wrote about some of my favorite characters who don't get much representation, and wrote the first ST story I read that had gay characters. She mostly writes YA stuff these days, but I'll read anything she writes.
