I knew a guy named Sam Dick. OK, it's only a little funny. But his wife's name was Anita. I also knew a guy named Mike Hunt. True, I swear.
I never met Vera Wang.

There's a guy who used to be a sportscaster in Roanoke, VA, who used his first and last names: Richard Face. Legend has it that one day, the anchor got all friendly-like and introduced him by saying, "And now here with the sports is Dick Face!"
He started using his middle name after that. Now he's known as Brad Face. I think he got into PR, too...

Not funny names, but I have had some interesting and beautiful names in my class.
Temiloluwa, Oyeneye, Olayiwola, Nenleritmwa, Oluwabanke, Nelinda, Pirbyen, Iember (pronouned Ee-em-bay). I've actually gotten so I can guess pretty well which of the major tribal groups the names represent.

When I lived in Vermont there were commercials for Dick Swett's campaign. My son was about 10 and I never heard the end of it.
