Glee, who's in?

I know I don't own a tv but I do have an addiction to glee and tonight they added Ricky Martin to the lineup. The show is funny, well written, brilliant really and I've been enjoying it immensely. They have had quite a few big hits on the show but the big hits haven't really caught my attention much until tonight when they added Ricky Martin to the lineup. Hey, I knew he was gay from the moment I laid eyes on him. Didn't matter. He announced, got thrown out of hollywood elite, now he's back. I think he's hot and thought he was hot even knowing he was gay and so I rejoice in the fact that he is out of his closet and finally producing more music.

never watched the show. Maybe I will take a look. Ricky Martin just opened in Evita on Broadway. I am guessing he is Che, not Juan Peron.

I've been watching it since the beginning. It's wildly uneven, but it has its moments. I haven't seen the latest couple of episodes due to timing, but we generally watch it on Hulu anyway. Now it is just finding the time to do so. I like Sue, but her character has gotten old, for the most part. I like Emma, and am strangely drawn to Brittany, and the actress playing Santana is actually proving to be a pretty damn good little actress, despite how frequently annoying her character can be. All the storylines are all over the damn place, which I find frustrating. It's a love/hate thing for me in general, and the wife likes the musical numbers, which I have to say sometimes are especially good. I'll admit that I miss the Warblers.

It is a televised Little Debbie Snack Cake. Enticing, entertaining... and mostly devoid of nutrition... and usually leaves me feeling guilty for the sheer enjoyment I take from it.

You have to give kudos to a show that has this approximate line, "Last night I dreamed that you and I were at the zoo and I shoved your face into one of those gigantic red inflamed monkey butts, the kind that weeps lymph."
I was starting to get a bit bored with it when it appeared to be "The Rachael Berry Show." I quickly became re-enamored when they started bringing out the story lines of the other characters. I totally agree about Brittany. I disagree about Sue. I like her and think she's funny. I find Emma a bit annoying and I am liking that these last few episodes have given us more interaction with Coach Beaste.

I love it...yet hate it. The sometimes amazing details of moments and talent [not just the singing, either...in char's. and dialogue, in theatricality, staging], of risks and issues addressed almost always faceplant or chicken out in the end. So I end up going: hmmmm....oh...Yea...YES! GOGO!...../facepalm, /sigh.
I guess, though, now that I'm typing about it, that just means it doesn't push as far as it could, or far enough for me...but thinking over it, it pushes pretty far compared to the other stuff out there.

Yay, you made a Glee thread here, so now I can rant! (right?)
I watched a couple episodes of Glee a few months ago, and -hated- it...
At some point I realized what one of the reasons was:
My automatic "ahhh, this person is about to be experiencing shame!" radar going off every TWENTY seconds or so!
So basically almost non-stop cringing.
(A very uncomfortable experience for me... and my "inner teenager" adds, "awwwwkkward!")
The other reason I hate it being that they are pretty much all narcissists; it's as though they don't actually see the other humans they're talking to / working around / trying to use... (the students + Sue, at least)
Horrifying.
But they weren't recent episodes. There could be more variety in characters now.
Would enjoy seeing more interaction with Coach Beaste, though!
(feel free to say I'm silly though, judging a show based on 2 or 3 episodes)

Didn't risk watching any, is it actually good?
I do admit that it was likely done with the best intents and may even get some people to see the original, but just saw what they did to RHPS lyrics and had no wish to try:
The Rocky Horror Picture Show Cast
Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me Lyrics
I was feeling done in, couldn't win
I'd only ever kissed before.
I thought there's no use getting into heavy petting
It only leads to trouble and seat wetting...
Now all I want to know is how to go
I've tasted blood and I want more
I'll put up no resistance, I want to stay the distance
I've got an itch to scratch, I need assistance:
Toucha toucha toucha touch me, I wanna be dirty
Thrill me chill me fulfil me
Creature of the night.
Then if anything grows while you pose
I'll oil you up and rub you down
And that's just one small fraction of the main attraction
You need a friendly hand and I need action...
Toucha toucha toucha touch me, I wanna be dirty
Thrill me chill me fulfil me
Creature of the night.
Touch A Touch A Touch A Touch Me Lyrics Glee
I was feeling done in, couldn't win
I'd only ever kissed before.
I thought there's no use getting into heavy sweating
It only leads to trouble and bad fretting
Now all I want to know is how to go
I've tasted blood and I want more
I'll put up no resistance, I want to stay the distance
I've got an itch to scratch, I need assistance:
Toucha toucha toucha touch me, I wanna be dirty
Thrill me chill me fulfil me
Creature of the night.
Then if anything shows while you pose
I'll oil you up and rub you down
And that's just one small fraction of the main attraction
You need a friendly man and I need action...
Toucha toucha toucha touch me, I wanna be dirty
Thrill me chill me fulfil me
Creature of the night.
And, most of all, they had no right to rename a planet. Well, you should get my meaning.

And of course there is the raunchier version we used to sing every weekend when I was regularly going to the midnight showing. It is funnier though.
I saw that Glee episode and was appalled at the lyric changes. I still don't know why a "friendly hand" is objectionable. But whatever.

Ok, so what should have been an epic stellar event in Glee was the Saturday Night Fever ep. Yes, the majority of it was fabulous especially Mercedes doing Disco Inferno. Then THEN they had to mercilessly butcher my favorite BeeGee's song ever by having Rachael do her over the top belt it out over trilled version of How Deep Is Your Love. I wanted to simultaneously puke and slap her. That song is about love being compelling, sweet, filling, poignant, caring and deep NOT about screaming it in your face which she did. She made it cheap and overly theatrical. BAH! Rachael is evil.
