You've all heard the comedy routines that go like,
- Hey I got some good news. You just won a million dollars.
That is good news!
Not really, the bad news is, you owe the IRS ten million dollars.
Oh, that is bad news.
No, it's good news. You just inherited 30 million dollars!
That is good news!
No, it's bad news, it's your favorite uncle that died.
Oh, that is bad news.... so on, and so forth.
Take the previous poster's good or bad news, and turn it around to the opposite.
EDIT: Keep the chain going: i.e., what you post should have a connection with what came before.
The good news is, you just invented the world's first truly affordable personal flying machine!!!

Bad news: Finntroll refused to compose the soundtrack on the basis of not being able to growl in old swedish.
Good: In the pony version, Covenant isn't going to sport a pink-ish color and a flowing, stardusted, curly mane.

Note: See edit in initial post; I wasn't clear with the guidelines. Successive posts should have something to do with what came before, as in the posts The Perfect One, Zorm, and Gamgee had going.
Bad News: They are all pastel-colored ponies and they all have white gold rings.
Good News: They fall in love with Joan Jett and pretty much leave everyone else alone; filling arenas and rocking out to retro girl groups.

GOOD NEWS: Playing "Cherry Bomb" very loudly actually encourages voluminous cherry blossom bloomings year round, energizing Japanese tourist industry.

The good news is that there are a large number of japanese tourists arriving on the west coast of the us.
The bad news is they had been adrift in the pacific ocean for just over a year.

Good: The ponies, lead by a squeaky-voiced, curly-maned pink mare with balloons in her rump, are attempting to becalm the flesh-eating trees by singing them merry songs about love and tolerance.
Bad: the frost giants of the north read this chaos as the onset of Ragnarökkr and are now marching towards the lands of men, tailed by Surtr and his fire-sword

The bad news is that the Daleks had no desire for gaudy bling so they got rid of it.
