I have to admit, he's the last person I expected to kill himself.

Some are suggesting that he shot himself in the chest so his brain could be studied.

I haven't been a Chargers fan long enough to appreciate him, as a matter of fact now that VJAX is gone I may jump ship, never liked him, but respected his career...really is too bad...

The NFLPA commissioned a study thru NIOSH, which found the NFL death rate of retired players is better than at large pop, and suicide is also a lower rate than at large. Its some recent suicides and convergence w/the concussion issue that makes people think outside the data. They don't know what effect these concussions have yet, or effect of CTE.

In light of very unexpected suicide of Aaron Hernandez, and after having committed at least one murder, they really ought to look at whether or not he had CTE. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. But if he did ... then the word will be that the NFL is creating murderers. So there's a lot at stake.
