Adam Yauch ( hope I spelled that correctly) dead at 47.
Beastie Boy, and musical visionary , inspiration to myself and countless others. You made me want to start my own band. So I did.

Damn this sucks. Plus, it feels like the first casualty of my generation not due to an accident or just plain asking for it.

Yeah, pretty much.

This really strikes home for hyperception, as he knew them all as fellow students at Stuyvesant High School. They were juniors his freshman year, and kept him from joining their Stuyvesant Bug-Out Society.

But they knew him by sight, supposedly.

i met them once at a UMass Amherst concert. Both Mike D and MCA were quite nice. Ad Rock was kind of a jackass. MCA was always my favorite beastie. I had a big ole crush on him in my youth. Lighting a candle now.
