9-11 (am/pm)

Since the attrocity of the twin towers terrorist attack I have noticed that when I look at my watch/clocks etc the time seems to be 9-11 on a disproportionate number of occasions.
Now I don't posit any 'supernatural' explanation for this - I work late and often rise around nine, perhaps I glance at the clock etc many hundreds of times subconciously and only ever register the 9-11 occurences - there are many possible explanations that would work, but the fact remains. (Why do I not register 7/7 occurences in the same way is a side issue.)
I just wondered if anybody else has noticed this effect. One thing it has the very positive result of, is to keep the tragedy for the World that was 9-11 firmly focused in my mind along with the people who we all lost on that terrible day.

I think you've got it figured out already. The other times simply aren't memorable.

My daughter kind of drove me nuts with this for a few years. We would usually be driving in the car and she would notice the digital clock said 9:11 or 2:11 or 11:11 and announce it like it was a big deal.
We had the same conversation about why it "always" seemed to be 9:11 and we came to the same kind of conclusions you did, Peter.

My kids used to notice 7:11 all the time, after we moved out of a townhouse with that house number. (Always good for a laugh, when a neighbor would ask where we lived: "We live at 7-11!"
)
