Ok, I want to create a slideshow, with music. Picasa and Windows Movie Maker won't load mp3s that, I think, are DRM protected. Or at least have some copyrite crap. Any music I've bought w/in 2 years or so from Amazon won't load, but older files, maybe all that were copied from original CDs, work fine.

Anyone got any tips? Want to remove copyrite crap or a good slideshow tool that ignores this crap from the evil record industry.

I believe there is software that exists that will do this, but you can achieve a similar effect less elegantly by burning a CD in audio (not data) format and re-ripping it. I suppose the music quality will be somewhat affected but it is unlikely that the difference will be noticeable for most listeners and situations.

Nice. I came across that in google search, but then saw in iTunes you can just use "Create MP3 version". Since that didn't work, I just never tried the burn to CD rip back route. Did the trick tho, thx Ron!
