I need a break from this kind of stuff and I told myself I'd never get into a debate where people who were once friends throw aside their past and go at each others' throats. But that's what happened.
6 months? Aren't you supposed to be quitting permanently in 4 months? ;)
It disturbs me you're following me so closely, though I suppose I'll just take it as fan attention or something.

Often rules and indefinite vacations and quitting overlap, and this is the case. I look at my vacation-forever leaving-quitting situation as like surrounding 1945 Berlin and THEN nuking it just to make sure before invading. I've really screwed my pooch, so to speak.

I'm not going to post again unless there's an emergency. And since this is the Internet nothing really important happens.

I will go. I will go to the place where Zeph is. Rusmeister is. I can see the light already. I see TRC, CovJr and Matrixman. And that guy named Biff from 2003.

The End

Phillip David Williams aka "Lord Foul" has claimed he is leaving the watch. I have met Mr. Williams twice at Barnes and Noble and have talked to him several times over the phone. He seems to be a straight forward, if not elusive gentleman.

However, I believe that there are underlying and troubling psychological aspects at work with Mr. Williams.
Lord Foul wrote: My biggest regrets come from a video game, so I'd say my life's charmed. But I've still been through a lot and have made choices that were destructive, but they were essential experiences in making me a stronger, more informed person. I'd be much different had I avoided them.

BBF, please limit future threads in A&S to the S. That is to say, suggestions.

Personally, I want no part of this psychodrama.

is this some sort of breakdown?

This is no breakdown. I am worried about David, he seems to be disconnected from everything he once held dear.
Lord Foul wrote: I hope they give him life, but his stardom will probably net him the minimum sentence. Sad!
I know I'm naive, but it still puzzles me why the system thinks a person's "stardom" should have ...
Here you can see he is starting to deconstruct his hard held beliefs on sociology and human the psychological dialectic. I believe this is an indication of a strong depression leaking through. Am I wrong?
Lord Foul wrote: I suppose I'm still an atheist, though I do hope a benevolent creator does exist and this wasn't all some random explosion; otherwise there's no hope for a dialogue or existence after death.
Here he hopes for a dialogue or existence after death but sounds as if he has no hope for the future. Guys I am worried.
Lord Foul wrote: I see the point about seeing the destruction as opposed to its aftermath, but honestly I don't have a problem with it.
Nihilism. He never talked about such things on the phone or the few times I met him. His posts become more disconnected as he goes on.

I've emailed him but he will not respond. Maybe one of you will have better luck?

If this is a bona fide concern, I say go for it in terms of trying to make contact. Of course I don't know either of the players here, so maybe this is a pissing match of some sort. But I've seen the other side of it as well, where you just assume that someone will be OK but they aren't, and when its over you wonder if you could have done something to help them if you had put yourself on the line.

I have Foul on Facebook (I prefer not to use real names on KW, just as I prefer people on FB not call me Syl). He seems fine.

I suggest we all leave it at that.

I honestly don't think he is.

He sent me what sounded like an angry letter about the watch and about how angry he is and tired of people sitting in an echo chamber. He also said that he can't come to forgive me for challenging his beliefs.

I think he is having doubts about his religion. I know this happens to some people and that they usually come out on top but I'm just worried.

What if he turns away from God? You've seen the posts he has left. I don't think the world is a construct of the mind I think he needs help from all of us.

I'm going to send him a link to this topic, I want us all to say something positive about God and about Foul so that we can show him that it is not just a one sided battle of paganism and atheism.

I'll go first

Lord Foul,

You are a sincerely kind young man, who helped me through a very tough time in my life. When I fell down and couldn't get up at my house you called an ambulance and then called my mother. I can't thank you enough for helping me through that and my divorce.

It was a rough year but you were my rock but now, we aren't even speaking.

I just wanted to say that I miss and love you. I cherish our friendship and hope that you start going back to Church.

Love, bbf

He has been a member since the ice ages. Everyone needs a break, even from KW. I suggest we ALL give the man some breathing space.

I've looked at this thread several times, perplexed. Guess I'm taking lorin's advice.

Hey. Foul here. First off, yes, I will always consider you a friend but you never learned to respect boundaries. Yes; we had an argument and we’re not talking anymore. This is called the cool-down period. The cool-down period doesn’t end by instantly making a thread that quotes me out of context—many of these quotes of mine pulled from YEARS AGO in the early part of the LAST DECADE. The conclusions you make about me from them are egregious, thoughtless, and utterly untrue. If you want to talk to me again give it some time and some re-building of trust.

Moreover; my last message to YOU or anybody else here on the Watch is to cooperate or get banned. Seriously. This thread is BS and shouldn’t be allowed in a place full of such sensitive and fine individuals as you post around. So start making some CONSTRUCTIVE topics.

And if there was something wrong with me or I was in some bad place I would tell these fine people. They are my friends. Follow their example.

Kevin’s Watch: To You All, Hail.

You all were a great part of my life, and always will be.

You call me a troll and then you come on here with so much Flops and Tailism as to make a person upset. I do not know you or want to upset you but I think what you are doing is stepping over a line. I forgive you because you do not know the entire story but I can't help but think you are ironically trolling. I don't know why you would post that picture but I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Also, is the above statement supposed to make me realize that I'm out of the loop? I only come on this forum and a few Christian Science websites, so maybe I am.

I ask you, what is the point in these actions you take?

I'm am/was worried and that is all. If you had received the OTHER email I got from Foul in private, you would understand.

It was not written in flowery language or with any wit behind it. It was written with sheer, unadulterated confusion.

Out of respect for Foul I won't post the email but I assure you it was more than just out of character. Lord Foul has some serious faith issues.

That's all I'll say for now as discussing it is in bad taste and I know that Foul will read this.

Thank you

Did Foul send this to you? I received a totally different email in my hotmail account that had much less to do with the Watch.

I don't know what to say, I guess if he wrote this I need to stop writing here.

I feel like a fool though, his private email said so many other things.

Where is this email from?
