Creating a new topic to replace the hopelessly outdated existing one, in a pointless publicity grab.

Inspiration Struck

Inspiration Struck is the name of my blog. You want to follow and read it.

Why? Because it has all this:
  • Updates on what I'm currently reading!
Occasional lists of links to things I've seen online!
    Book reviews!
Inane posts about things I've been doing!
Posts apologising for not posting anything in a while!
Right now I'm starting something new on the blog: Book-A-Week, my attempt to read at least one full book every week, and post about it on the following Monday. Come watch me fail to keep it up!

Did you know that if you Google Inspiration Struck you're the first result?

That's crazy.

I hate Google. :D

Surprised though...I would have thought you were more likely to get first place having visited it more etc. Are you searching logged in?

Still first for me. :D

For me: Wired, your blog, this thread talking about your blog, and then YouTube.

It's a shame the only people who'll search for it by title are the ones who already know bout it. :P

NEW! Inspiration Struck is now specially printed on high-quality recycled paper.

(Tell me if the high-res background image is making the site lag.)

It didn't for me. (I'm currently trying to leave you a reply without logging in via Facebook. Gotta go find my Wordpress login info again. Urgh.)

I see the Wired article, Youtube, your blog and this thread, in that order.

I see the blog, youtube, this thread, (Google loves us), pintrest, then the wired magazine.

Occurs to me I probably haven't cleared my cache on this machine for a year...as such, my search history might be skewing things.

Yeah, but it tried to log me in with Wordpress to start with, but then I misremembered my password, and then it became a challenge.

Oh, btw...the fact that you have 11,000 links to your blog is probably one reason that it shows so high. :D

I don't think it really counts the links so highly. It looks like it's just not as common a phrase as you'd think.

Oh no, only 27,400,000 possible results on google.com. For which you rank 3rd. :D
