Aaaaaaaaaaa-ma-hay-zing!!
I listened to The Wall every day during high school. It was an album that defined my adolescence. Seeing it live was just...it changed my life. I have no other words for it.
If he's coming to your city, you best go see it!

I am jealous. I know he was at Fenway last night. I had read that it was a superb show.
Tell us more!

The show I saw in Tampa last year was exactly as you described it:

Beorn and Hyperception sat together in the tickets I scored via the rogerwaters.com lottery, and I sat alone in the nose bleed seat I managed to get when the few remaining seats opened up to the public. Even so, I was totally blown away, as those who are friends with me on Facebook saw from the posts to my wall I sent via FB texts during the show.
I remember a fellow behind me commenting at the end of the
Comfortably Numb solo, even though David Gilmour was not a guest at our show, "I can die complete now."

Roger seems so comfortable on stage now. very at peace with his role and the audience's role.
and he sounds great! he picks great musicians to work with.

Absolutely null! He's better than the Amused to Death era.
I had the privilege of seeing Roger Waters earlier this year and it was without a doubt the greatest show I've ever seen. Such a great sound, and Roger was a shadow of his former self - in a good way!

Stevie, was it you who told me his parents saw the original tour of The Wall and always envied them, or was that cambo?

It wasn't me - maybe Cambo...
I would have loved to have seen the original Wall though!

from all accounts roger has worked out the problems from the original Wall tour.
if i could see any Floyd tour it would have been when they working out DSotM on the road. I would have loved to seen the slow version of Time live...

Curious. How does it compare with Australian Pink Floyd? I saw them on TV and they were mind-blowingly awesome. But then, I never saw Floyd live.
I do remember seeing the film,
The Wall, in theaters when it came out. My friends and I came out totally bummed out and depressed.

The Wall, performed in Berlin in 1990(?) was an amazing concert. So many great acts joined in. I had that concert on VHS and wore it out watching it so many times.
Actually saw his latest Wall tour back on Oct. 30, 2010 in Kansas City. So much awesomeness!
Speaking of Roger Waters... in case you missed it, he's not a fan of Trump

I have cassette recordings of that concert,
recorded as it happened.
There is commentary before the concert starts, they
stopped the show and had to "re-start" the concert, aftershow interviews, trivia, ...
3 HOURS of recording!

I recorded it as well. Haven't seen that tape in quite a while. Now I want to find it.
That, and the Freddie Mercury tribute, were quite the eclectic ensembles. Van Morrison doing Comfortably Numb, Liza Minnelli doing We Are The Champions ... Good times, good times.

I have a VHS of that concert

I guess it's hiding somewhere in the garage...
I liked some of the combinations, others not so much. I liked Sinead O'Connor's version of Mother, and Bryan Adams' Young Lust. I wasn't so keen on Cyndi Lauper's version of Another Brick in the Wall, or Van Morrison's Comfortably Numb.
