Gone to Texas

gone to the devil,
gone to the dogs.

the duller red is
madder dye, not
aniline. drab-style
prints emphasize
yellow, buff, brown.

and the addition of
a row of half-suns
to adorn your single
hearts and double
hearts. negative space
in counter pane blocks.

(patience, industry,
economy, prudence,
ingenuity, encouraged)

rail through mountains.

"straight is the line of
duty, curved is the line
of beauty..."

the sashing is quilted
in junctures, forms,
colors and textures.

geometric forms, with
optical effects. parlor
throws, unifying black,
apricot and lavender.

concentric circles of
over-lapping rows...

broken circle. summer
compliant. geographic
tongue. watch-out for
the scissors...

Classic Null!! :)

It took a second and third reading to "get" the scissors.

Loved the blunt rhythm and geodesic landscape...
