Some songs just still sound fresh after ten, twenty years and more.

Shine by the Newsboys

Won't Get Fooled Again by the Who

Entertaining Angels, also by Newsboys

Colored People and In the Light by DC Talk

Naive Melody by the Talking Heads

1/1 by Brian Eno

Autobahn, by Kraftwerk

Too many to list, these are just some that come to mind right now. :)

Hmm... for the Moody Blues I would have pegged "Nights In White Satin", "Question", stuff from that era. Personal pref. :)

That Shine song... the video is silly, but no opening bars say "The party is now beginning!!" more clearly than those. It is the Newsboy's spirited + virtuosity that makes them not get old.

deer, while the older Moody Blues material has much to recommend it too, I think there may be some personal significance to Menolly's choices of the more recent tracks.

BTW, viewing her two linked videos in sequence adds depth to the story the Moodies were telling with these two songs...

Hmmm...I have a song [WotMoon] and a band [Alice in Chains, though Rooster is the song] with Ex...

But Floyd Crazy Diamond
Deep Purple, Highway Star.
Peter Gabriel, Biko and Games w/o Frontiers.

I'm a moody/streaky listener... but AFAIR, those ones I've never said 'oh, I don't feel like hearing that one right now.' Probably there are more...but not a whole lot more. It would be easier if it were bands, not particular songs.

I always feel like I SHOULD like Moody Blues more than I actually DO.

Vraith, Rooster, Down in a Hole, hell a lot of songs off of Dirt qualify as infinitely listenable. In fact I used to listen to that cassette in my truck (dating myself) over... and over... and over...

Other infinitely listenables that are 10+ years old:
"Redemption Song" Bob Marley
"He Went to Paris" Jimmy Buffett
"Honky Tonk Blues" Hank Williams
"Pursuit of the Pimpmobile" Isaac Hayes
"Bela Lugosi's Dead" Bauhaus
"Dwr Budr" Orbital
"Zxero" Jack Dangers
"HiFi Going Under" Rocker's (Kruder & Dorfmeister)
