The Dark Knight Returns (animated)

Because I don't know how old any of you are, I don't know how many of you might remember Frank Miller's graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns" which came out in 1986; it, along with The Watchmen from the same time, formed the foundation of the new (at that time) era of dark and deconstructed hero motifs.
Well, it is being animated and Part 1 is scheduled for DVD release on 25 September. Peter Weller (Buckaroo Bonzai and Robocop, among others) will be voicing Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The trailer may be found here.
Basic plot without spoilers: Batman hasn't been seen for 10 years (most of the other heroes have also been forced into retirement, died, or have left the planet) but now a storm has arrived in the form of The Mutant Gang.
Of all the comics I used to have, I really miss my Dark Knight Returns. First edition, first printing from 1986. *whine* *cry*
Anyway...I still have to see the latest movie but I am looking forward to this, as well.
Presuming they are following the graphic novel as it was published, look for anachronistic cameo appearances by Ronald Reagan and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
