BTW, Bakker quotes could fill the entire site, but I didn't see a single one. You could just use his opening "quotes" at the beginning of each chapter (pretend quotes from scholarly texts within his fictional world). They're all gems.
I notice that the lessons about love are always from female writers. Men keep writing about courage (the same lesson over and over how you can only be brave when you're scared).
What are some of your favorites?

My favorites still come from The Lord of the Rings. Sam's monologue about people in stories, "the ones that really matter", is without equal. (Even in the Two Towers film, I blubber like a baby at that.) And there are sayings like Aragorn's "He who cannot cast away a treasure at need is in fetters" and "Generous deeds should not be checked with cold counsel" (Gandalf, I believe, in the Books).
Nice site. My fave there is the Last Unicorn quote.
