5 days a week, 10 hours a day. ;) Haven't been gaming at all this year yet, so have had reading time. :D (That's about to change, just picked up some games on sale at Steam.) (But I think I'll finish my Malazan re-read before I start playing.) (Maybe.) :D

Speed reader then? Or someone with reading time at work? Or a combination of factors?

I certainly can't keep things up at work and home chores and still keep a reading pace like that.

But I do listen to a lot of audio dramas - on my long commute to and from work. So maybe that should count. ;)

Haha, no reading time at work. But yes, I read very quickly. It has its drawbacks. :D

Near as I can tell, I'm on 89 books this year so far. Bit slow, but there have been several complete re-reads of things like the Malazan books, the Gap, etc.

I haven't been keeping score, but I've been doing a lot of rereading this year. I have an expedition to the bookstore planned for next week, and I'm sure I won't leave empty handed, but in general, I still feel out of the loop from when I worked in a bookstore and would generally read at least one new book per week.

Edit: Fixed typo.

I use the "what are you reading" threads to keep score. :D

I look at those threads and think 'that sounds good, I should read that', and have been really bad at following through with it the past couple of years.

Like Murrin's book club. I really wanted to read all those books, and I think I only read one.

Oops, this is a bit out of date. Far as I can tell, I only managed 116 books for 2015.

And I'm on 19 for 2016 so far.

Goodness, only managed about 75 books last year.

I blame computer games. Probably put 300-400 hours into gaming last year, with a corresponding reduction in my reading time.

:haha: oh my god .. only 43 and we are only over half way through the year :haha:

Methinks you will smash last years record. Is there a Guinness Book of Records record for the number of books read in a year? 🤔

Yeah, that was last year.

Haven't gotten around to counting how many I did that whole year yet. let alone this year.

Will figure it out some time... :D

So, that was 94 for 2017.

So far, for 2018, have done...39.

Really do seem to be reading less, but as before, concomitant increase in game playing so, hours been used up.

Well, been a while since I worked out the numbers for this. :D

2018 ended up at 86 books.

2019 was a miserable 52 books, or just 1 a week, but in my defence, I did put many hundreds of hours into Kenshi.

This year I managed 65, slightly better than last year, but not much. :D

I always say "For people who don't read, I read a lot. For people who read a lot, I don't read a lot."

Last year I topped out at 15 books, I think, which is a touch below my goal of 20. I'm picking up again this year with the goal of 4 books for January, and I've already got the first one done. Since I didn't start that goal until the 5th I'm not behind yet :D
