Dec 26th here .. and there are rumours of a Marathon viewing .. all 3 back to back .. but alas I already bought my tickets to the 26th dec ..

Apparently it's only in select theatres (the marathon) over here. We had it all planned out.....my husband and son were going to play hookey so we could go spend like 10 hours straight watching LOTR....but then I heard that tickets were on sale, so I tried to get them and....the closest theater showing the marathon was an hour away (we would have gone) but it sold out in 3 minutes. The next closest theater was 5 hours away....and even we're not that fanatical.....

I got to see it Tuesday at 12:01... which is technically the 17th...I was so surprised we got it premiere-like. Especially since this town is only 7,000 people! School the next day was hard... but all the teachers had gone too, so they were sympathetic
