Which one is it? First, Second, or Third? And why is that your choice?

LOL birdie!! the countdown!!!
As I see them all as one story..I would probably have to say all three at once, Darth. Even tho I haven't seen ROTK yet it's still one story to me. As are the books. I never thought of them as seperate.
FOTR and TTT both were extraoridinary, both had amazing scenes, both had rich and powerful characterizations. Gollum being in TTT, of course, gave it that special edge, as well as Rohan. And FOTR had LothLorien and Rivendell and Moria... I really can't pick.

Fellowship is my favorite . . . I think. ROTK might replace it. It's so neck-and-neck right now between those two.

Isn't "No comment" a comment? I was thankfully free of any bias of having read the book. Of all my friends I was just about the only one that hadn't read DUNE before we went to see it in 1984. They all went on to complain about how it didn't keep to the story and how this was different and that was missing. I just sat there and enjoyed it. I can't promise that I won't raise a fuss when the Chonicles film hits the theaters and is different than I imagined, but I think I'll be able to enjoy them just fine.

I was in a bad mood... I would have disliked it regardless.

That is a pity. Perhaps upon further review (another trip to the theater or buying the dvd) might change your mind.
