Is this Mhartir? I really like this picture. I could definitely go with this as the Ramen look. His expression has character. though I always pictured Martir as older and frailer. Is this a misreading of the story?

Errr I don't think he was ever described as frail. After all, he keeps kicking serious arse even while blind.

Getting to the right size with the bandage, but I'd say it's still too stiff, almost like a belt (and gives the impression of going through his ears rather than over/under). Imagine the material more bandana-like and if you can, maybe tweak the manner with which the fabric crinkles and sits comfortably, ie. more softly, around his eyes.

The face seems fine, but the hair could look more realistic.

Well, he looks pretty stubborn That's already good, particularly since passing moods and character in 3D is quite a problem. And I generally think that the feeling what a person is like is one of the most important things about an artwork that depicts a person. Well done

Well done, hue of bone! This is pretty much how I have pictured him. The only thing I think is missing is the ring of yellow amanibhavam flowers around his neck mixed with some greenish-brown leaves, the symbol of his being a Manethrall.

I've always imagine Mahrtiir (and the Ramen generally) as lean and sinewy rather than frail, and I would give him a somewhat darker complexion and perhaps an aquiline nose.

Remember that the Ramen are the most adept of all the Land's peoples at swift, agile, stealthy movement. I have always thought of them as having the kind of physique that would enable that.
