:D im not sure if I can tell you what it is without it being a spoiler, I removed something from the original artwork but even that would not have given much more insight to what the scene was depicting. I actually did this image in October of 2012 so i cant remember without going into old Emails from which book AATE or TFD it was created, I still have to read AATE, and i believe it may have been a scene taken from the end of AATE. but Romeo fed me descriptions and a bit of spoiler without giving too much away for me. I cant wait to read it to find out myself. ;)

Thank you!! I am glad you like it, I have a couple different perspectives that i had created before i finished the one approved for use in the trailer. A combo of Bryce and Alot of touch up Photoshop tablet work for this final version.

Wonderfully haunting! :D

Yup, reminded me of the ending of AATE, but also
Spoiler
The sample chapter from TLD.

I'd say it's...
Spoiler
the approach of The Worm of the World's End towards the point of the Lower Land northeast of Lifeswallower, as seen from the viewpoints of Covenant and Branl at the end of TLD chapter 5.

Hi, Blackhawk!

Being on the other side of the spoiler now, I can say
Spoiler
It is, as Cord Hurn says, the approach of the Worm, as it approached Lifeswallower.
The land at that point was dotted with menhirs, which are depicted nicely as if
they continue out into the sea. But the clincher is the tendrils of fog which
TWOTWE sent out ahead of it, also depicted nicely. (And which stumped me
for so long.) The Worm itself is hidden by fog and lightning in the distance.
It's very well depicted overall. I like it a lot.

What, I wonder, was the something that you removed?

Welcome back, BH! (Now I am damn curious as to how you might have depicted the actual Big Guy itself.)

Thanks Wayfriend.. ive been away too long.. about the worm...I had only a piece of the tail or the exposed back that was not submerged.. my description was given as a range of hills moving through the water so my impression was a just that an sloped section of a large hillside dissapearing into the storm on the left side of the scene.. if I had shown more of the worm I would have given its body an armored aspect somewhat like the segmented armor of an armadillo is about as close as I can get.. or more so the image in my mind was like one of those worms they put in Chekovs helmet in the star trek movie.. wrath of kahn hehe. I will go through some of my original art work and see if I can find the images bulding up to the final draft

Agreed, Wayfriend.
Spoiler
I tried to imagine how the Lurker and the Demondim were able to confront and block the Worm.
If Lifeswallower, as depicted by the sheet lightning, were an appendage of the Worm, wouldn't it
be anchored to the Land or the sea something like a Triffid.
Though, The Carpet Crawlers works fine if not better.

Terrific, Blackhawk.

At the moment, the link to Blackhawk's artwork in the leading post of this thread has been broken. But since Blackhawk thoughtfully put a copy of it in the Laborium section of the Album, here's a quick link to see what we are talking about in this thread:
