I'm Bob from Connecticut, originally from New Jersey near Philadelphia.
I've been an SRD fan (and also an SRV fan!) since LFB/TCoTCTU first came out, when I was in high school.
I've read all three TC series, and can't wait for The Last Dark!! I just downloaded Chapter 3 to read tonight.
I've also read Mordant's Need and enjoyed it thoroughly, and I plan on reading The Gap series soon.

Good Morning The Worm Your Honor! A double welcome, from a fellow New Englander. Please join in. Frequently. Be exposed before your peers, etc.
(We have a frequent member named TheWormoftheWorld'sEnd. I hope I won't become confused.)

You didn't click the link I posted? That will explain everything.

Sorry, Hashi, didn't see the link - couldn't distinguish between the blue and the green (eyes going again). Never heard of him so no opinion .
While I'm here, what is "Woot"?

Heh...I'm pretty sure it was invented by Dungeons and Dragons folk.
It means "Huzzah! a dead thing and a big bunch of loot" [contractions of "Wow! Loot!"]
But it had something to do with hackers back in the day, too, I've heard.

I never thought of that before now. In fact, using links in my posts, given my tendency to post my text in green (a tactic I have been using for many years and which predates use of "green text" on 4chan--no, don't look it up, you don't want to know about them) must be hell on people with either poor vision or color-blindness. I will look into trying to make my links underlined if I cannot change their color.
Anyway...SRV is--was--a blues man, playing the electric guitar. His brother Jimmy still plays and tours.
I concur with Vraith--that is what I have heard as the origin of "woot". I hadn't heard about any hacker-based origin.

That's very considerate Hashi. My eyes are not too bad but I've been typing solidly since 10.00 this morning (with a short break for lunch) and it's now 3.30 in the afternoon so that is probably why I missed it. Bold would bring it out more, and underlining of course.

Hey Worm! Our paths may have crossed--I grew up in Jersey near Princeton and Trenton and went to HS in Connecticut...

I'm uncertain, but I don't think one can change the color of links. But I do know you can bold them.

I can confirm what the Queen of Off-Topic Posters said...and anything that can be bolded can also be underlined.
Back on topic: Welcome to the Watch, Worm! May you thrive here...and contribute.

Well, the board accepts HTML so I suppose in theory you could make the link look like anything you want. Don't know if the board style will override something like that or not though.
Not sure if it'll take CSS either. Feel free to experiment.

The settings say it takes HTML, but I've never been able to get HTML to work...

Looks like some tags work, and some don't.
<b>Test</b> works, and we know that that href and img src work, but I can't get styling ones to work...probably overridden by the template style.

Underlining in combination with a url link works just fine, as seen by my edited post above.
