Gath of Baal

Anybody read the four book series by James Silke featuring Frank Frazetta's 'Death Dealer' charachter aka Gath of Baal.
Essentially Conan style Sword and Sorcery stuff, the books are however more graphic in their portrayal of the barbarity of the times (smelling of stale sweat and urine the grizzled veterans of the Kitzac Horde's advance scouting party drag themselves out of the sun blasted dessert slaughter their ponys and feast on raw meat etc etc). Gath of Baal himself makes Conan look like the type of boy a girl would want to take home to meet mum. He rarely speaks and is often more animal than human, but has also a soft side that shows itself at odd intervals (say after tearing out a mans arm and clubbing him to death with it). If you've read it, you know what I'm talking about; If not, the first book is called 'Prisoner of the Horned Helmet' and should be easy and cheap to get on e-bay.
Any other good S&S recommends?
