Greetings people of Kevin's Watch!
I found this forum a while back and decided to join because The Last Dark is going to be out Tuesday and I don't know anybody who reads the The Chronicles.
I am a high school student from central Illinois, I found Lord Foul's Bane in a box in my basement early last year and I love the series. So far being unsuccessful in converting anyone I know, I look forward to discussing the books and other such things.
Just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to the Watch, Luanee!
Many of us are here as a result of never knowing anyone else in Real Life who had read these books...and some have subsequently met people here who have become dear friends.
Lots more here than just SRD discussion, too. Look around. Enjoy TLD later this week and consider coming to Albuquerque next June for Elohimfest.
May you thrive here...and contribute.

Greetings, Luanee. So, did you look forward to meeting some of the characters as well - and how well do you take to things like getting called a groveler and the like? This can kind of make you similar to Covenant in a way...

Welcome, Luanee.
Many people stumble upon The Chronicles in high school, as I did, but that was eons ago before Land's Drop happened.

Hello, Luanee. Welcome to the Watch. You should try to find out who left that copy of LFB in your basement. It may have been a family member, but then again, some Watchmembers have done some sneaky things to boost Donaldson's readership. And who watches the Watchmembers? That's what I want to know.

Hi Luanee, welcome to the Site. Yes, it's rare to meet anyone in real life who's a Covenant fan. I actually noticed the first two trilogies on my neighbor's shelf, so, I've had a talk or two with them about the Chronicles, though, it was a very long time ago they read them so, not much talking, and now they've moved to New Mexico

Welcome to The Summonsing, LR.
I'm uncertain if I have welcomed you to the Watch before; I just may not have perused the threads you have posted in since June.
Join in more often!

No excuses. You'll see. The Watch is more interesting than school. More educational too.

Menolly, esteemed co-mod...you may know Lord Rydell by his former name, Zeta Prime. He also had another name before that, but he avows in his sig (which I know you do not read, just as you do not attend to titles or post counts), that he will not be changing again.
No matter if he does, of course. Changing Watcher names have a bit of precedent attached to them. For example, both dAN and Frosty have changed names multiple times...not to mention a former Watcher who went by many names over the years.
