Greetings all. A lurker delurking here. Read the First Chronicles back in high school (late 1970's early 80's). Read the Second's as they came out. Didn't start the Third till 2008 and have not been able to continue reading them due to feelings about a protagonist(ess) whom I shall not name. I see it is a hotly contested topic here on the forum. Respect my options and I will respect yours, whether we agree on not. Thanks to all who participate. :)

Welcome to the Watch, CerealKiller!

Always great to see a lurker break cover!

You probably know most of what goes on here, so no need for me to pimp any of the multi-various forums (fora), but just in case you haven't chanced across it, could I tempt you with some THOOLAH, my intuition tells me that it would be to your taste!

Look forward to seeing you about the place and getting to hear your opinions on various topics.

u.

Welcome to active Watcher-hood, CerealKiller!

You are entitled to your opinions, as long as you are not a flake about it nor puff them up too much. Just rice to the occasion, give the opinions of others the respect they are oat, and there will be barley a ripple of corncern. If you must disagree with another Watcher, keep it short and wheat.

Ok, Ok, I will stop...

May you thrive here...and contribute.

Welcome to the Watch, CerealKiller.

SavorDam, those puns were grrrrrrrreat.

They really bowled me over.

Let's milk this for all it is worth, okay?

No, I am not done yet--there is still a lot of Life left in this joke.

Be welcome to the Watch, CK.
Be Well Come and True.

I see your THOOLAH user item, so I am assuming you received answers to your PM question?

I too was tempted punward, but mine related to those cereals that had been stalked and demised. Are there any obvious candidates? Maybe the MO relates to the cereals themselves?
  • Corn Bursts!
    Dyno-Bites
    Crunchy Nut (ouch!)

Why, she's useful occasionally ;)

At least to me.

Really? Have you mentioned me here?

So, with all those options above now I wonder how a difference between a tasty name and a cheesy name is determined...

Tasty? Cheesy? When cereal is the topic, the only intersection of these two sets is Pastina. Menolly made this favorite for breakfast this morning. Yum!

*jaw drop*

Other families make pastina for breakfast?

1. Cereal is not just for breakfast. I will leave that sentence at that, despite my strong inclination to paraphrase a certain intolerant person from your former state-of-residence who said of a certain beverage "It's not just for breakfast anymore!"

2. I do not know whether other families do this. Dam-sel, Dam-et and I never knew about Pastina until you first made it for us four years ago. However, I believe you posted the recipe (listed as Breakfast Mac & Cheese) to either the Galley or the associated recipe archive on the Hanger. Given Corruption's posts about tasty and cheesy in relation to CerealKiller, perhaps these oblique references will lead to the spread of the practice of making and consuming Pastina. In any case, we sure are not going to stop!

I used to love pastina and cream cheese as a child.

When you make your visit here to consider artistic venues (or next summer in ABQ for Elohimfest, if one of us has a full kitchen), you will certainly have a bowl of Pastina for breakfast again, lorin!

Not to contradict Av...but ignoring Foul is not the way.

Your acknowlege-and-dismiss approach is fine. Well done.
