A great actor. If he appeared in a movie, I'd always consider watching it even if it had bad reviews. After seeing him in Happiness and Boogie Nights, I always looked out for what he was doing next.

This was stunning news. An actor's actor. He first caught my eye in Twister, and I thought he made the whole movie.

I don't know ... a heroin overdose is probably a very happy ending. I'd choose it over cancer, for instance. But it's sad nonetheless for those left behind.
