...what are they?

Sorry if I'm asking the obvious, but I couldn't find any reference to them anywhere (although I may have missed it).

You get them when you post.

When you get enough of them, you can go to the store and buy stuff with them. Click on "Stores" under the banner to see what's available.

(Of those dark days of the previous iteration of WGD and the ensuing market crash, we shall not speak. Well, to be clear, *I* won't speak of them. Someone else probably will....)

OK, I see now. However, if I try to buy something I don't see a buy button other than the one at the bottom of the page, but when I click that it doesn't list anything.

There are boxes on the left side of the list. You have to put a 1 (or more!) in the box corresponding to the item you want to buy. Then click "buy items" at the bottom.

If that doesn't work, we'll have to take it up with the admins...

Anyway, there were two. First Mark Revan's (I know...Bannor) and the Casino Heist.

Michaelm, there is a thread somewhere about it, although I doubt it contains Ali's valuable advice. Somebody should find and sticky it. And add what Ali said. (Not about the economic crises.)

Yep, I see it all now and managed to buy something!

Now you have to go and change some setting in the "my items" section (I think) to make it show up. I think you just have to tick it under "visible items" or something, but I don't really remember. )

It was the Casino Heist I was thinking of, but I couldn't remember the details, and was too lazy to search for 'em.

The true purpose of WGD is donating them to the White Gold Wanters; those few Watchers who aspire to accumulate sufficient WGDs to claim the high-value items in the Aumbrie of the Clave.

It has been said that all WGD end up in the hands of two two of these. Not sure that is true, but my favorite recipient (and not by any means the leading accumulator) is the Gracious Concierge of the Watch, She who greeted you in the Welcome thread even before I did. Her goal is the White Gold Ring.

Yes, it's a long way off...but she says it's about the journey, not the destination
