Upcoming from Marvel

I've been enjoying the films so far, so it is interesting to see what is coming next, and what a big line-up. I know a friend of mine will be excited about a few of these movies, if not all.

Anyway, I hadn't seen any buzz about this reveal here, so I thought I'd pop it for those who didn't know.

If they can deliver on all those films then it will be one of the biggest and best, albeit the slowest, cultural happenings in a long, long time. Originally, I would have doubted an Inhumans movie but I had originally doubted GotG and I was 100% wrong about it, given that it will likely be the best movie of 2014 (it is by far the top-grossing movie this year at $328M domestic).

Only last week I had seen a blurb that Joaquin Phoenix was being highly favored to play Dr. Strange. I'll bet Cumberbatch will be in the Dr. Strange movie, only cast as Baron Mordo.

My wife and I are already speculating about which songs will make it onto Awesome Mix Tape #2. She is thinking Michael Jackson or Captain & Teneille while I thinking ABBA.

It's all like every dream come true. Black Panther and Dr. Strange?? I might pass out.

I'm just glad my idiot friends were wrong and the next Avengers won't be Civil War.

I was never impressed by that story line in the comics.

No, but I all ready know that Captain America 3 is going to be Civil War. My point is that a lot of people think that storyline is soooo great, it warrants its own build up and Avengers movie. I'm glad it's going to be Infinity Gauntlet related, and that since Marvel insists on doing the Civil War, it will be relegated to one movie.

I read in the comments later that is Ulysses Klaw. which should bring Black Panther into the fold.

Ah--that makes sense. Does he currently have his sonic powers now or will he get them as a result of AoU?

I just now watched a leaked copy--yeah, right, like Marvel Studios didn't put out the leak themselves--of a teaser trailer for Avengers: Infinity War (the two-parter in 2018 and 2019). The description is inaccurate--there are clearly 5 stones on the gauntlet, three of which we have already met--as is the lower text. Tesseract = Space is correct, but Aether = Power, Loki's Staff = Mind, and The Orb = Soul (if this isn't clear from GotG then I will gladly explain it). We have not yet seen Reality or Time but I wager that Reality may, possibly, show up in the Dr. Strange movie. My guess is that Thanos already has the Time gem, which would allow him to stroll in and pick up any others whenever he felt like it by, literally, stepping out of time. We know he already had the Mind gem because he is the one who gave it to Loki to use.

A question hit me the other day, though--how did Loki know where to get in touch with Hydra, all those people who were working on things in the Avengers move in and around Dr. Selvig putting together the mechanical Tesseract device? My wife thinks it is because Red Skull told him about them as part of his job duties for his new boss, Thanos. No, he didn't die when he held the Tesseract, it only sent him elsewhere.

Haven't the people at Marvel Studios said that the infinity gems in the movies are not "space" "mind" "power" etc gems like in the comics? I don't see there's much use trying to label them that way when they themselves feel free to do what they like with them rather than stick to some strict set of types.

Also: Why do I think of Derek Zoolander every time I see that clip of Hawkeye running through the forest in the Ultron teaser?
