All I can say is yesterday I arrived at work in actual daylight instead of darkness. Wait, I'm not grumbling. Uh...the government!

Woo hoo for daylight saving! We have 6 months of it and it's ideal in this part of the world. No grumbles from me (apart from the shitty spring we've had so far - it's finally starting to warm up now).

My cats are against it because they get fed an hour later, but they don't complain when it goes the other way.

No one grumbled about the time springing forward? ;)

That's way worse than falling back.

I'm the opposite - getting up an hour earlier is preferable to having to work an hour later. Both are pointless and outdated though.

Agreed that both are pointless and outdated.

The problem isn't changing the clocks. I have a clock radio at my bedside that's set by satellite. I never have to re-set it, even after the power goes out. When the power comes back on, it adjusts to the correct time by itself.

The problem is losing that hour of sleep in the spring and adjusting to getting up an hour earlier or later depending on the time of year.

Yup. The disruption/adjustment period is just annoying and pointless.

The one - and only! - positive thing is that all my posts will have the correct time stamp for the next six months.

Pretty sure the board can adjust for daylight savings if you set it in your profile.

It would be great to have the United States abolish Daylight Savings Time entirely. I've always thought it was an unnecessary pain.

I don't see that option. I could change my timezone to make the time show correctly, but I'm here to grumble. :soapbox:

Oh, you're right...could have sworn there was a little tick box. Oh well. I use GMT for my board time anyway.

 Interesting point. I mean, I'm sure it doesn't, but I wonder what's the time difference between the Land and Brathairrealm for example. :D

Another busy night at all the British henge sites as staff work all night to move the stones back an hour.

Having lived in Arizona for a few years, I have to admit how damn freeing it was to not have to adjust every now and again. And it was always nice to tell my dad, who always called with a "you've got to set your clocks back/forward" calls, that I didn't have to do what he was saying.
Then I moved to Colorado and became a slave to it again.
Having young kids really sucks when the time changes.

They know it's a scam. Ditto cats, who still expect their breakfast at the old time. (Though they have no complaints when it's an hour early.)
