You have your curly-haired
Haruchai in the short-shorts robe.
You have your nostril-faced ur-vile, riding a
kresh. And would he be weilding a knife and an iron jerrid?
You have your Vortex of Trepidation, I presume.
Is that a Giant-Raver emerging from it?
I am uploading this to the Album because this looks like the only copy of this image on the web.

maybe this is the battle in Grimmerdhore, before Gilden-Fire was removed from TIW?

Possibly. But the blasted trees seem to suggest the Southron Wastes, not a lush, dense forest. And the prone body suggests a Bloodguard defending a fallen Troy. (Although it did not actually happen that way.) And then there's the black pillar of ... something.

OK, I didn't even see the prone body until now. Don't know how I missed that.

What edition is this? It has a magazine cover quality. I like it. I thought it depicted the forest battle as well. The trees look somewhat animated. The branches look like grasping fingers.
Are there matching covers for the other books?

Hmm...
Written by Stephen R. Donaldson, The Illearth War stands as a powerful tale of adventure and imagination. This book was part of the trilogy, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever. The Illearth War was featured on the cover of SFBC’s November 1977 catalog. [

It seems I misinterpreted. This is a cover of a catalog.

I wonder who the artist is, and if they've done any other SRD-based work.
