Watch word-hunt game.

Here are 3 words to find a way to use one of anywhere on the Watch:
* artificial
* chartreuse
* bastion
When you've used it somewhere, post "I used: [word]."
(But don't say where!)
You get 3 points, and the ability to choose a new word.
(4 points if you use it in an exceptionally condign way or an exceptionally odd/surprising way, as judged by me.)
If you find where someone used a word, post the link to it.
You get 1.5 points, and the ability to choose a new word.
If someone fails to choose a new word when they can, anyone can choose a new one for that person, and get 1 point for that contribution.
For performing the service of accurately updating the list of "words completed this round" and "words currently in circulation," you get 1 point.
A round is done when we've gone through 20 words.
Anyone think this sounds interesting?
(Any suggestions RE the rules?)

Maybe move this to Mallory's? That's the bastion of games on the Watch.
(I used bastion.)

Linna's rules say that when you use a word you get to choose another.
Since Menolly did not do so, may I hold my breath until I turn
chartreuse, then have her perform
artificial respiration to revive me? Please?
I'll choose apotheosis, vasectomy, sepulcher. First to identify why those three may have my points.
words completed this round: bastion, chartreuse, artificial
words currently in circulation: apotheosis, vasectomy, sepulcher

Right.. I know... my excuse is that it is a game to be played all over the forum. (sneaking words in to things written in other sub-forums.)
Menolly wrote:(I used bastion.)

Haha... you made me laugh.
And then later, I remembered that my own rule says you need to call it. (!) Which you do.
3 points for Menolly.
SD- you only get one word so far, (
1 point for SD.) for the one Menolly didn't use.
I'm gonna say it's "apotheosis" unless you object.
(Quick, call your use of the other two!)

Heh. I was intentionally seeing if bolding would be interpreted as calling out the usage. Apparently not.
Very well. I used "artificial." I used "chartreuse."
Quick enough for you?

That occurred to me on my second pass looking at your post...
Very well. I used "artificial." I used "chartreuse."
SD wrote:Quick enough for you?
Well, nobody else used those words, and called 'em!
3 points for "artificial" and
3 for "chartreuse" for SD.
And, retroactively,
1 point for updating the list of "words completed this round" and "words currently in circulation."
SD's current total: 8 points

Ooh! I went & used "sepulcher" somewhere on the Watch.
(3 points for Linna.)
I'll choose the word "zeal."

I used zeal.
I choose Furls...

Okay,
4 points for Menolly.
I call that one "exceptionally condign" because I read that post first and completely
did not notice that it included a word from this game.
(and a word I'd picked, no less!)

I must admit that after the first few posts, I was like, "Wait, is this even a good idea for how people should be choosing things to say?"

I used
apotheosis, in the cheapest way possible. No condign points for me.
In that frugal/lazy spirit, I'll borrow from the same post to choose filibuster.
words completed this round: bastion, chartreuse, artificial, sepulcher, zeal, apotheosis
words currently in circulation: vasectomy, Furls, filibuster
Offer is still open to claim my points by stating why I chose apotheosis, vasectomy, sepulcher. Once someone uses the last of these, the offer will be snipped. Your opportunity to make a vast difference and close the gap in point count hangs in the balance.
(Oy, I suspect I will pay dearly for that bit of wordplay...)

3 points for SavorDam.

1 more point for SD.
SD wrote:Offer is still open to claim my points by stating why I chose apotheosis, vasectomy, sepulcher.
whoa... I didn't catch that before.
Wait.. you think people can just give other participants their points for stuff they want to award it for?
(I'll have to think about that as a general rule... hmmm.)
But for this particular challenge - okay, sure!

I'm tempted to use the whole kit and caboodle in a two-minute story, but then I'm afraid we'd never find out the answer. Someone make a guess!

OK, if neither Av nor Sorus are taking the bait, I might as well call it.
Gap
Those are the three words which Hashi provisioned as backdoors to Angus' welded programming. Warden used two of the three.
Back to Linna's game without any side bets.

Wow, I fail. Pardon me while I skulk off and quietly reread the Gap.

As far as I'm concerned, y'all are all on the same side...
