Anyone else seen this? A sort of spoof James Bond movie based, I think, on a graphic novel, the movie charts the story of a raw potential recruit transformed from uncultured twenty something chav into fully fledged suave agent with of course some hiccups on the way. Coupled with a parallel plot of world dominating baddie, this has all the elements of a standard spy spoof, but raises its game by virtue of the capable handling of their roles by Colin Firth and Sam L Jackson as the seasoned old hand and villainous megalomaniac respectively. Some keen cinematography and entertaining set pieces top the whole off into a fun couple of hours viewing so catch it if you can. (Take special note of the massacre of an entire church congregation an the exploding of 1000 heads in a dance like pyrotechnic display - you don't see that very often!)

Kingsman, not Kinsman.
Enjoyed it. Nice to see Mark Hamil on the screen again, even in a small part.

Might have been my mistake SD, but this new tablet of mine is a beggar for changing my wording to its own version of what it thinks I mean. I have to watch it lke a hawk! V. the other day was joshing me on the numerous (see that - I typed humerous) nature of my many and varied typos. Little did he realise its this blasted machine that is imposing its will over mine!

. it's got more personality than I have!

I saw this. It was a pretty good popcorn flick. There were some less than stellar aspects about it, but who cares?
Colin Firth was unexpectedly great. And I will never hear Freebird the same way again.

I might see it now. The trailer I saw did not make it look at all like a spoof.
[[and anything that makes anyone look at Freebird in a new way MUST have some redeeming features.
Whether I see it or not, I can tell you one thing:
The title [whichever is the right one] is 100% guaranteed to spawn a porn spoof title.

Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd play it live at Knebworth in 1976.

I thought it was fantastic! All the cool little devices and weapons that makes a great Bond-type movie. The church scene was outstanding.
I can't recommend this movie enough.
I liked everyone in it too which is unusual for me.
