Hey look, a new month.
Let's see what we can do with it.
I think October is my favorite month. For one thing, it contains Halloween. And my favorite type of weather, which will hopefully involve actual rain this year.

I'm currently on 4484.
I had 162 posts last month
I obviously need to get a hobby!

That's only 5.4 per day. Get it up to 10, and you can call it your hobby.
See? Two birds with one stone.

I managed a 10 average in the early months but it nearly broke me!

The Watch started to become a place of drudgery and toil, so I eased off and rediscovered the Joy of Mallory's!

What she said.
10 a day is hardly toil.
We're on 37 so far for October, a month which hopefully includes rain for me too.

I too am fond of October from my days living in Kansas, but in Colorado usually means the first snow of the season, and often the hardest to cope with.

Sorus, on September's Postage Meter thread. wrote:2150 is the closing count for September. I was hoping to be able to play either 2112 or 2113 in U's new game, but there's always this month.
Speaking of which, it must be time for a new thread.
What I'm hearing is that our communal goal for October is "at least 2112, maybe 2113."
And the other thing I'm hearing is "Do it for Sorus!"
Of course, maybe we could make our communal goal the first four digits of the number "e."
(3141 or 3142 for an approximation of pi would be a reach.)

I think this is a common pattern for certain things..
Even role-playing games. Once your invested, then...
As far as personal posting goals... hmm, gotta think about that..

I'm thinking we can break 3K this month.
I know that sounds optimistic given recent history, and no one has ever accused me of being an optimist - but:
Summer is over.
SRD has a new book out in less than two weeks. (

)
We can do it.

Well, we started out quick again anyway. 122 as of this post.
Good point about the new books though, that'll probably bring some activity.

I liked the line "objects in motion and what-not."

I've been using 'and whatnot' rather often lately, and I can't figure out where it came from. Could be Terry Pratchett, but I don't think it is.

Right... I forgot about that.. I should, like... look at those sub-forums devoted to SRD's work.
And Julie's birthday is 5 days away.
If I start/rediscover-and-rez a "Favorite Hymns thread," I should time it for before then... :evil mastermind / Montgomery Burns hand-steepling gesture:
