The wait is over! It's here!

I'm four episodes in, it's pretty good so far. And Killgrave might just be the most terrifying supervillain I've seen, even before he actually shows up.

So, who else is watching? Binging straight through like me, or taking your time?

It's on my imminent list.

And I'm done. :) Watched ten episodes last night and the last three this morning. Really great show, enjoyed it a lot. And I want a Patsy Walker show now - would love to see her becoming a hero.

Two episodes in and we're hooked. There isn't a flat character in the series, and I agree that Kilgrave, thus far, is a tension-building plot-driving villain.

You have some serious catching up to do! DD is fantastic!

I really want to see this - bunch of people in my guild are watching and it sounds really good. I hope iTunes picks it up soon. I don't watch enough TV these days to justify a subscription to Netflix.

I am in the same boat--haven't seen either one. I should probably get a Netflix account so I can watch them but I don't want to have to get some two-year-long subscription or any nonsense like that. I guess I should look into it this weekend.

It's month-to-month, with more options to choose from than years ago.

Do you still get the first month free?

I got Netflix just to watch Breaking Bad season 5 as it was first coming out. I've had it for two years now, watch stuff on it daily.

I just looked and the basic plan is $7.99 per month with the first month free. For only two shows, though--Daredevil and Jessica Jones--I am still on the fence. I suppose I could get the free month, binge-watch both shows, then cancel....but that wouldn't be very nice on my part.

Have you seen Orange is the New Black? Really worth it. I'm hearing good things about Master of None but haven't watched it yet. I've also enjoyed a bunch of other Netflix shows - House of Cards, Kimmy Schmidt, Arrested Development. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Edit: Better Call Saul was Netflix too, wasn't it?

Netflix does look fairly painless, and this is the first time since BSG ended that there are multiple shows that I want to watch. Usually I just wait for iTunes to pick stuff up - they do get most of the Netflix stuff eventually. I'm telling myself that I don't want to commit to a subscription, but in all honesty, I think I'm mostly afraid that it would cut into my WoW time.

I believe Better Call Saul is AMC, which is a standard cable channel. (Though for all I know they could be connected with Netflix these days.)

Ah. Maybe it was just Netflix in the UK, like the last season of Breaking Bad.

Finished the 13th episode this weekend, and was content. The show ended as it should.

Now, how will they (the writers) top the first season next year?

It seemed like they were setting up a storyline into her origins, but I'm not sure how good that could be. How do you possibly top Killgrave?

Oh, and it probably won't be next year. Word is The Defenders will probably take precedence over a second season.

Just started watching Jessica Jones and loving it. I watched two episodes yesterday and one just now. Very intense, gripping story.

David Tennant is a very creepy villain.

how does Netflix work? do they ship me vids? I am looking to sign up, hopefully in Feb.

Tennant has been great in everything I gave seen him in. (Dr. Who, Broadchurch)

You can sign up for a streaming account, which is the cheapest option. (About 8 bucks and change a month.) You just add shows you want to watch to your queue and watch them when you have time. You can watch on computer, mobile device, or internet-enabled TV.

There is also an option to subscribe for an additional amount and receive DVDs for rental via the post. I haven't felt the need to subscribe to that option, so far, but some of my friends use it.

Jessica Jones is on streaming.

The DVD rental side of Netflix doesn't exist any more in the UK, and I'm always a little baffled when I see US people referring to it as a thing that exists in 2015. It's just a streaming video subscription, instant access to lots of TV and films.

The DVD rental plan definitely still exists for US subscribers.
