The Lobster

The critics loved this film: it gained scores of 90% and 8.2 on RT and MeCr respectively. I, on the other hand hated it. I found it nasty, brutish and short on anything that would persuade me to recommend anyone (except my worst enemy) to waste two hours of their life on this shit. Why would anyone bother to think of such a story, to make it into a film, to appear in it (money?), or to be simply fucking stupid enough to continue watching beyond the first ten minutes. Beats me!
(Nb. Of course I'm in that group - I stayed till the end.)

My first thought is that someone hacked peter's account. I've never seen such language from him!

Apologies Fist - this film got to me. A bad film I can take ..... but this was plain nasty as well! Who wants to see a dog that has been kicked to death lying in a pool of its own blood. (Spoiler coming) The final scene has a guy about to gouge his own eyes out with a knife before cutting to black: an act that I would seriously consider before sitting through this garbage again!

No apology needed. Unusual from you, but not necessarily unwarranted. Thanks for the warning. I won't bother with it.

Better they had done so post the opening credits than prior to the closing ones!
