Kevin's Watch

I just got back from seeing this zombie flick based on the novel of the same name by Mike Carey (who also wrote the screenplay). I thought it was a pretty good film, although I found it in places was a bit too by-the-numbers zombie stuff.

It's an interesting take on the genre for people who haven't read the book, but those who have might find it suffers in comparison; it did seem to be just hitting the main plot points but dropping a lot of the book's detail and depth. I'd still call it worth a look.

I'm always a sucker for a good zombie flick Murrin, and as I'd chalked this up as a 'chick flick' (from the title) I'm pleasantly to read your post to the contrary. I somehow doubt I'll see it on the big screen (The Magnificent Seven and Tim Burton's latest offering will probably soak up my available funds for cinema going) but will definitely try to catch it on the small.
