We're Putting The Land Back Together Again

Post by Avatar »

Hard as it may be to believe, 5th March 2017 marks the 15th Anniversary of Kevin's Watch on this platform.

If we count its original home, the old EZBoard, this year will be the 17th year of it's existence, although I seem to recall that that anniversary is nearer the end of the year. :D

15 years in one place is pretty damn unheard of for on online forum, let alone 17 years, which goes to show not only the inherent quality of the Watch, but, I think, a certain ineffable one of the Watchers.

Now that the final chrons are done, we've certainly been seeing a general slowing down in activity here. Hopefully, now that SRD is going to be Back with a New Trilogy, that will reverse itself.

But until then, well, chances are if you're landing on this post, you may not have been around for a while. And the Watch misses you. :)

Hence THE KEVINSWATCH 15TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION.

Since THE KEVINSWATCH 15TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION IS DRAWING NIGH!, we thought we'd reach out to everybody and try and get as many Watchers as possible back together to re-celebrate.

So, tell us why you've been Missing In Action, and stick around for a while. :)

Oh, and welcome back. ;)

missing in action

Post by Prince of Amber »

I've no idea why I've been away, life - births & deaths, new jobs ( three), weddings, concerts, sporting occasions, travel, reading, swimming, doing a marathon (walking one and then running one) for Alzheimer's, trying to write my own fantasy saga, yes I guess it's called life, but it's no excuse, I was here near the beginning I think, and I'm glad to be back, I'll try to spend some time here, to the ones that remember me from quite a few years ago - hello again I've missed you, to all the new ones - Welcome

The Prince is back.

Great to have you back POA! Of course I remember you. I've been around almost as long.

This is the best part of the Anniversary celebration. Reconnecting. :-)

Wow, an Earthblood sighting! How cool is THAT?!? (VERY cool, in my humble opinion! 8))

Earthblood, I'm honored to have the opportunity to say, "THANK YOU!" for your terrific posts, which are truly a treasure for the Watch! I especially love your contributions to the Mordant's Need and Chronicles discussions. So thank you, once again! I never thought I'd get to tell you this!

It's working! :D

Welcome back Prince of Amber.

And Earthy...don't speak in the past tense...you're still part of it. You just have to show up more. ;)

And we've had hier sightings, and even Landwaster turned up.

Now...all of you just make sure you stick around, right? Wouldn't want to have to come hunting you. ;)

What a wonderful idea! Count me in. :-)
For Myles--
When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

Hail Watchers,
I haven't been around for a while, actually quite a while, more then ten years... What a surprise to find the email inviting old friends to drop in.
I'm having a moment of nostalgia, remembering group readings I participated in.
Actually I just recently read the last chronicles, so this mail was a cosmic wink ;-)

So...you're going to be dropping in a bit more often now huh? ;)

Welcome back. :D

Good heavens! I was relatively young when this neck of the internet came to life :) I am confused, is the 5th of March in USA time? So it's 6 March for me on the other end of the world?

And yes I do know I need to be around more often :(

I'm sure I used to spend 48 hours easily way back when :) It's awesome that KW is still going! Where do I find my fellow Trump supporters though? :)
